Mitchell House Home Fries Recipe

Most breakfasts aren't complete without Tracy's Mitchell House Home Fries. These have been a staple at our Chestertown inn since we first opened in 1986.

Ingredients for Mitchell House Home Fries

  • 2 white potatoes
  • 2 large red potatoes
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1/3 cup bacon drippings
  • 3 green onions, chopped including green part
  • 1-2 TBL Lemon Pepper


Clean and chop potatoes. Heat bacon dripping in large fry pan over medium-high heat. Add potatoes and fry until golden brown. Add green onions and heat several minutes. Add lemon pepper and stir. Serve hot. Yields about 6 servings.

This sounds great! Think I will have breakfast for dinner tonight!
